I never thought having a baby one month before summer would allow me so many holidays. Yes, I understood I would not have an official job to report to but three trips to Oroville by the middle of August is more than we went before Leah.

Leah has discovered so many things lately, it is amazing. She puts her hands together, loves to babble and intentionally hits her hanging toys. When she first starting ‘talking’, she was so excited about it that she would ‘talk’ as soon as she woke up and would continue for a good while. Though cute and all, it has the potential to wear thin at 5:30 in the morning. Good thing Grandpa likes to wake up early and good thing we were in Oroville so Grandpa could have early morning conversations while I tried to squeeze a few more winks in.

I can’t complain about lack of sleep…. Leah has been amazing, waking up only once in the night. She can do 8 hour stretches though that does not happen every night.

While in Oroville, the lake was choppy for most of the long weekend which didn’t leave much time for water skiing and the like so Morgan decided to go for a bike ride. He took a walkie talkie and first talked to me once he reached a water tower just above the base of one of the hills. Apparently that wasn’t enough of a challenge for him so he decided to bike all the way to the top of the hill. I needed to get the binoculars to where he was because he was so far away.

After his amazing climb, we are still in the process of counting how many holes are in his tire tubes from the cactus and the numbers keep rising daily.

What is a blog entry without pictures?
the hill Morgan climbed is between the two trees…trying out Grandma’s hat…look what I can do
