I’ve been loving this weather we have had lately and though I’m sure there is more to come, I want to take advantage of it as much as I can. It is beautiful and warm. Early in the morning is still is a bit chilly but by mid morning all toques are off. If I’m working in the garden, a jacket is not needed either.
Who better to enjoy the outdoors with than with your best buddy? These two are such good friends. They spend so much time together yet are still thrilled to see one another and play. They laugh, run, take turns copying each other and laugh some more. It is fun to watch.
Our backyard is uneven which causes the occasional fall. Leah used to just jump back up, unless she was really hurt, and continue on with what she was doing. Now she requires acknowledgment (Are you okay Leah?), physical affection (Let me kiss it better) and sometimes even wants help to get up.
This time, she saw her friend fall so she fell right beside him intentionally. I waited to give any sort of attention to her to see what she would do. Instead of getting right up again, she stared at me and then started dissecting the grass. When I did acknowledge her fall, then she got up and went back to play. What a character.
